Parents are required to complete a feeding schedule for their child as the child ’ s feeding requirements change. Staff will complete a daily chart for each child detailing for the parent what the child ate, when and how much. Diaper Policy Children will be changed whenever their diapers are wet or soiled. A typical diaper changing procedure includes the following: The teacher will ensure that all necessary items are available at an arms reach before beginning the diaper change. With soiled/wet diapers, teachers will wear latex gloves. After changing the diaper and wiping the diapered area, the teacher will properly dispose of the soiled/wet diaper of the soiled/wet diaper in a covered garbage. The child will be safely removed from the changing table.

The teacher will then wash their hands and sanitize the diaper changing area. The child ’ s daily activity will then be appropriately marked. Diaper changing is an opportunity for quality interactions between the teacher and the child. Teachers will engage in positive communication and interactions with the individual child while changing their diaper. After a child begins to demonstrate an interest in toilet training Kids Corner will encourage such independence. We will provide positive reinforcement. Parents must provide disposable diapers and wipes on a daily basis for their child. Please keep in mind snaps down the front of the outfits and in the diaper area will make it more convenient to attend to your toddler. Overalls and one piece outfits make it very difficult for changing. Do not send Pull ups in place of diapers. They are very time consuming. Only if the child is well on there way to being potty trained. Toilet training will begin when a mutual agreement.
